“Inquire Within” is the solo music project of Brett Larsen and a platform for all his “disclosure” related projects. Brett does interviews with influencers in this ET disclosure world and is in the process of making an internet disclosure show. Inquire Within uses music and comedy to reach masses of people unfamiliar with “esoteric” and “disclosure” based topics and bridge them to the sources that helped put Brett on his path of discovery and disclosure.
For Inquire Within’s 2017 debut album, “Universe In My Head” he partnered with 15 other musicians from all around the world. Including musicians who have performed in the bands; Megadeth, The Devin Townsend Project, Soilwork, Six Feet Under, Chimaira, Dying Fetus, The Julliard Symphonic Orchestra and many more international acts. Lyrically this album follows Brett’s journey of exploring his spirituality and ET experiences, questioning reality and government, losing spirituality, losing loved ones and the journey back to happiness. For this album he partnered with the charity, “Trees For The Future” and with the help of fans, over 10,000 trees were planted in Africa. Musically it ranges from psychedelic acoustic, orchestral and extreme metal.
For the follow up to, “Universe In My Head”. Inquire Within is continuing with the goal of having almost every song be completely different styles from the most calm to most brutal music. While lyrically continuing with the mission of using music for awakening and disclosure.
Function Ensemble is the mercurial musical white dragon manifested through a fellow called Matthew Liam Nicholson and his friends across our beautiful earth. Function Ensemble has been the primary (though intermittent) vehicle for his songwriting and other musical art since the late nineties, after playing in numerous bands in Australia as a precocious teen. For a good decade or two Nicholson roamed and worked and wrote and recorded and released music globally – recording for example one album with 30 musicians in 13 countries, and another album with 80 musicians in 5 countries. These days Nicholson is a film and media composer living in Los Angeles.
Function Ensemble will release its first single in August after a very long hiatus, and are performing a few select dates on West Coast USA during summer and fall, leading up to the long overdue release of a full new LP, “Creature Features” late in the year. Nicholson will be joined for ECETI performances by Steve Sterling and Michelle Hodnett.
“Reverent, expansive, magical realist folk music”– Uncut
“Function argue convincingly that sometimes you have to leave the planning behind and go on instinct”– Pitchfork, 8.2
“Despite its far flung origins and diverse input, Nicholson’s music retains a clear authorial voice and purpose”– The Wire
“Almost impossibly beautiful.” — Dusted
